Why do you need access to these various systems?

OmniPanel is a workspace that connects data from your third party systems together, and puts it all in one place. We connect your orders, shipments, support tickets, reviews, subscriptions and more all together.

We help non-technical users make sense of complicated data models, without any coding or SQL knowledge. OmniPanel needs access your third party systems, so we can serve data from these systems to your employees.

Who has access to my data?

The data is held between your company & your service provider. We force HTTPS on all connections, so data in-transit is encrypted with TLS. We also encrypt all database data at-rest with AES-256. We host all servers in the US, in data centers that are SOC 1, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified. Our data centers have round-the-clock security, fully redundant power systems, two-factor authentication and physical audit logs.

What sort of permissions do you have?

We only have "Read-only" permission on your systems. This means that it is impossible for OmniPanel to ever update anything on your system. For example, we could never change a price, cancel an order, or send a support message. OmniPanel only brings in data from your service providers to help you match data context around specific issues as necessary.

Where is my data stored, and is it secure?

Yes, your data is secure. It is stored by you, your integration provider (Shopify, Zendesk, etc), and our third party servers on Amazon Web Services.

When you look at your OmniPanel interface, the OmniPanel API sends the request to these AWS servers to retrieve your data. OmniPanel is responsible for joining and linking your various tables together. OmniPanel itself cannot recognize any PII or sensitive business information. We serve as an interface between your integrations and our third party servers.

What sort of data does OmniPanel store?

Only metadata concerning your usage, such as:

  • Page view (url of page)
  • Component creation (type of component)
  • Adding a resource (type of resource, name of resource)
  • Users (emails, number of authorized seats, etc.)
